One of the attractions of the Picnic on the Oder will be The Regional Cuisine and Produce Festival. This is a cuisine event aimed at promoting the regional cuisine and some Polish specialties. This years focus was on getting to know the regional food products which are strongly anchored in the Polish national tradition coming from different regions of our country and being produced with the same traditional method for years.

The festival will have its open –air character with participation from producer groups from the afro-food sector, farms, including ecological food farms, traditional food, and the communes presenting regional produce and crafts.

Hit events was to prepare the great hearth, over which in the huge 2 500 liter pot regional delicacies are cooked.

In 2008, it was such a gigantic fish soup in Szczecin, which were used to produce 400 kg of fish and 120 kg of pepper, in 2009 the Pepper Stew “Paprykarz” was boiled, and  while the latest edition in 2009 the Spicy Picnic Soup was prepared and distributed to 10 000 people.

Traditionally, the first portions are issued by the President of Szczecin and the President of the City Council.

The Spring Family Festival, this is a number of stalls with colorful gadgets for kids, souvenirs and crafts.

The stalls offering handicrafts give a rare opportunity to view and purchase those unique items.

The fest will be full of attractions for kids including an amusement park, stalls with colorful baloons, toys and sweets.
On the stage located vis a vis there will be shows with dances, folk groups presentations.

There will also be an opportunity to listen to music, chants and to take part in ample of competitions relating to the maritime character of our region.
